10 Minute School already had what students came for: recorded classes, live classes, exams, and study materials. But one thing kept breaking the learning experience. When students got stuck, there was no one to ask. That problem showed up in simple but important moments. A student paused a recorded class and still did not understand a concept. Another student got an exam question wrong, read the explanation, and still had follow-up questions. Others wanted help connecting what they had studied with what to do next. These were not rare edge cases. They were everyday moments of friction inside the product.
10 Minute School already had what students came for: recorded classes, live classes, exams, and study materials. But one thing kept breaking the learning experience. When students got stuck, there was no one to ask. That problem showed up in simple but important moments. A student paused a recorded class and still did not understand a concept. Another student got an exam question wrong, read the explanation, and still had follow-up questions. Others wanted help connecting what they had studied with what to do next. These were not rare edge cases. They were everyday moments of friction inside the product.

Students on the platform could learn, but they could not always recover when they got confused.
Four issues kept showing up:
Stuck watching a recorded class. No teacher available to ask for clarification

Unable to create a proper study planner for upcoming exams
That meant the product supported content consumption, but not the moment after confusion. And in education, that moment matters a lot. It is where many students pause, skip, guess, or quietly give up.
The opportunity was not to build a clever study partner. It was to make sure students had somewhere to turn when they needed help most.

The challenge was creating a distinct experience inside a light-themed app, so we flipped the canvas entirely and gave TenTen its own Dark and Juicy UI, making the shift in environment signal a shift in mode.
